Yesterday in the office THREE staff showed up in the same piece: the incredibly comfortable and versatile Kongo Wrap Top from Melow. All three gals looked great and wore it in different ways!
Laura-Jean paired her green wrap with a bold printed skirt from Mandala Design, Jane’s navy top looked great with lavender Yoga Jeans and our fabulous intern Sally put it together with classic black jeans and a black camisole underneath! This great top also comes in black and black & white stripes.
Which look do you like best?
BONUS: Every item pictured in both the WTWW set and the picture of FC staff is currently on sale for 25% off! Hurry in to snag your size!
If you’re a fan of our Facebook page you’ve probably heard tell of the newest designer to join our team! *Melow par Melissa Bolduc* is a Montreal-based line that sophisticated yet comfortable, has complex designs, but shows simple lines. So far the reviews have been outstanding – Jessie tried it on last week and said it was so comfy she didn’t want to take it off!
The first item from Melow that caught my eye was this teal tunic. I love cowl necklines, the colour is gorgeous and the gathering at the bottom adds some style and interest to an otherwise simple piece.
*A.M.* For a simple but stylish look wear the tunic with a pair of black leggings (We carry Melow leggings in black, teal and eggplant!) and some comfy flats (the ones pictured here are COMING SOON from Hush Puppies!).
*P.M.* To dress up the same tunic, wear it as a dress with some fun patterned tights and cute ankle boots (Miz Mooz). Top it off with some statement jewellery (Black Jam) and you’re ready for a night out (in comfort AND style)!
It’s a wonderful time to visit you favourite Fresh Collective store – not only do we have SO many incredible summer items at insane sale prices, but we’re also getting in fantastic new fall items daily!
One of those must-have new arrivals is this fab pair of high-rise black skinny jeans by Second Denim. Now if you’ve tried our Yoga jeans before you know the fit is AMAZING. These ones are a great staple piece for your wardrobe. The high waist is so on trend right now and SO flattering (I’m sure I’m not the only one thankful that the low-rise craze is finally over)!
*A.M.:* pair them with a cute floral top (Paper People Clothing), A fun bag (Kocluch), a pair of comfortable wedge sandals (Mohop) and a cute necklace (Nicole Boudreau)
*P.M.:* Try tucking in a simple white blouse and adding a statement necklace (Black Jam) and a bright belt (Susana Erazo) for a pop of colour and personality. Some simple black wedges or pumps will keep your legs looking long and lean without drawing attention away from your bold focus pieces. For a touch of fun, throw on a coat of neon nail polish! After seeing Shirley Manson of Garbage sporting some dayglo nails at Osheaga I was totally inspired to do it myself!
Greetings from Montreal!
I’m in town for the weekend to enjoy the Osheaga music festival so MY weekend wardrobe will consist of mostly shorts and bohemian tank tops, sunscreen and dirt! That may not be up your alley though so for this Weekend Wardrobe post I chose something a little more accessible!
This Studio Fresh tunic is comfy and definitely a bit sassy at the same time with it’s sheer panels! For a cute and casual daytime look, pair it with a pair of coloured leggings and some ballet flats. At night, if you wear a nude slip (this Spanx one will have you feeling sleek and sexy) and heels, your legs will look MILES long! Top it with a statement necklace and some rust-coloured lips stick to finish the look!

As I was grabbing my morning coffee at Crema I spotted a Bionic “Andrea” dress in the line in front of me. I struck up a conversation with the lovely lady wearing it and we discussed how great the line is. “It doesn’t matter what size you are,” she said to me, “there’s a Bionic dress that will look great on you.” She was wearing the turquoise print version of the dress in the sets below. She totally inspired me to do a weekend wardrobe post on this dress, because when you see this dress on the rack you might think “hmm it’s a very animal-like print… that’s not really daytime friendly…” UNTRUE! She looked totally fab in a pair of Birkenstock sandals and a big pair of sunglasses with simple jewellery while grabbing her morning coffee (I wish I hadn’t left my phone in the car – I would have snapped her picture for you guys)!
The A.M. look is based on her style. Keep accessories simple and light. Some cute bangles (Odd Bird), a canvas bag and flat sandals.
At night, the obvious choice would be black accessories, but for summertime why not try something a little different? A nude clutch and shoes will keep things light and airy for a warm summer night. Add a statement cocktail ring (Black Jam) for a touch of sparkle and a rust-coloured lip for a pop of colour and you’re set!

Is it already the weekend again? With so many exciting new things going on at Fresh HQ the week just disappeared! I have fallen for this statement tribal blouse by Kabuki so I thought I’d put together a couple of looks surrounding it!
In the day pair it with some comfortable wedge sandals and cropped pants for a casual, comfortable and stylish look. At night, a pair of bright coloured skinny jeans for a rocker edge and a crisp white blazer to add a touch of polish to your look! Voila! Tribal top from day to night via FC! Have a great weekend everyone!

It’s time for another Weekend Wardrobe idea! This week we show you two great outfit ideas built around a simple Jersey tee by Mandala Designs. For a quirky and cute look in the daytime, pair it with an a-line skirt with a whimsical pattern and some fun wedges. To sass it up for nighttime switch to a more fitted pencil skirt, some nude heels and a statement cocktail ring! These are just two ideas, possibilities with a staple wardrobe piece like this are endless! Have fun with it and inject your personal style!

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but it’s HOT outside. In that spirit, I could not bring myself to prepare a weekend wardrobe post that involved layers, pants or too many items. In the heat it’s all about simplicity and sun protection. That said, this week’s post stars this light and airy sun dress by Bionic (also available in turquoise)!
Keep accessories and makeup simple – an spf lip balm will keep you protected and moisturized in the day, and a touch of gloss at night will add some pizzazz to your look. After a long day in the sun a simple headband will keep you looking polished and tame any fly-aways from your fun in the sun!
Greetings from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, friends! I arrived alive here yesterday just in time for a massive heat wave… oh boy! Keep your eye on the blog, I’ll be sharing some of my travel fun with you guys early next week!
For now let me leave you with some weekend wardrobe ideas! Beat the heat both day and night by pairing a light graphic tee with a fun skirt or a pair of shorts or capris and add some simple accessories to style it up. With a comfortable pair of sandals (flats for day, wedges for night) you’ll be looking like a million bucks no matter what the temperature!
