Fresh Events: WORN Fashion Journal’s Black Cat Ball

“Smart, adorable, fiercely indie and rarely too quirksome, WORN Journal is one of the best pieces of fashion small-print anywhere, never mind Toronto.”
-Sarah Nicole Prickett, Eye Weekly

If you’ve been into an FC store in the past few months, you’ve probably noticed that we began stocking a little fashion journal called WORN. This beautiful publication which comes out only twice a year is more than just your average fashion magazine:

WORN discusses the cultures, subcultures, histories, and personal stories of fashion. We strive to embody a place between pop culture magazine and academic journal that opens new avenues in art and fashion theory by hovering where these two ideas intersect, connecting with fashion scholars and artists. We pay attention to how what is worn is made, interpreted, transformed, disseminated, and copied. –

This Saturday November 24th to celebrate the launch of their 15th issue, WORN are throwing their annual Black Cat Ball at The Dovercourt House (805 Dovercourt Road). The event has a black&white dress code and promises to be a great time, complete with awesome raffle prizes (including one donated by us!)
