What’s a typical day like for you?

I work a typical 9-to-5 job but I can be found doing one of the many diverse things that interest me after hours. Weekly I volunteer as an English tutor for refugees and on other days I’m covering a media event for Torontonicity or I’m doing fun activities such as snowshoeing with friends or checking out museums with my boyfriend. On the weekend, you’ll often find me trying out a new recipe as part of my 1000 new recipe challenge and then sharing the (mostly) delicious results with my family, who are always willing to be my guinea pigs. My weekends are pretty booked with theatre, movies, concerts, hiking, dining and checking out festivals and new things to do in Toronto.

This Ori dress by Toronto fashion label Studio Fresh is available in 2 options: floral with striped sleeves as above and solid black with teal sleeves.

What in your life is really important to you?

My family is most important and so is the freedom to do what I want to do. We have so many opportunities available to us in Toronto and it is impossible to advantage of them all, but I try.

What would you like to be remembered for?

I hope people remember me as a kind, caring person who sweetens their day. I would also like to be remembered for having a cat hotel – I don’t have one but it would be awesome if I did!

What role does fashion play in your life?

I love playing with fashion, it is self-expression that I carry with me everywhere. It is an artistic outlet for me. Deciding how to combine clothes in the morning is a creative way to start the day. Sometimes, I come up with a new combination and that’s exciting – it is like a new outfit suddenly appeared in my closet. Even if I’m feeling blah, I feel better when I put on some stylish and colourful clothes.

This dress is called Boxy II made by Toronto label Studio Fresh.  It comes in another variation as well here: Boxy Patch.  The shoes are called Etta by Miz Mooz and are currently ON SALE!

What do you love about shopping at Fresh Collective?

Fresh Collective always has a few pieces that will add flavor to my wardrobe, whether I’m looking for something totally fresh or if I need something to work with what I have. The clothes are comfortable which is so important to my active lifestyle.

What do you have that you want to promote?

I’m a blogger for which is a natural thing for me to do because I’m always zooming around the city checking out art galleries, theatre, Paint Nite, Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunts and trying out new kind of exercise classes such as Kangoo – which is similar to jumping around the room like a kangaroo in specially-made bouncy shoes.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

I have a passion for indie and local. I love local, independent theatre such as Fringe and SummerWorks, I savour indie coffee shops and I relish shopping for clothes and jewelry created by local designers from fab shops such as Fresh Collective.

Where can people find you on social media?
