Name: Jennifer Prince
Occupation: Wedding Sales, Art Gallery of Ontario
Age: 45 (Whoa. How did I get here already?)
Lifestyle: Busy. Time for work; time for play. And all things in between.
What’s a typical day like for you?
No such thing! (Except my morning coffee). The event and wedding industry is constantly evolving and changing. I never know what the next phone call or email will bring. I also volunteer for large scale events and am involved in different associations that keep me busy too.
What in your life is really important to you?
My family and friends; especially my husband and tiny Chihuahua (who is our baby, really).
I strive to have a great mix of work and life that includes time for just me.
What would you like to be remembered for?
Being authentic to myself and others. That includes being true to every side of me; from being passionate about cheese, to loving jazz music, to being a good friend and mentor, to being great in my job.

What role does fashion play in your life?
The vast amount of clothing and accessories I have is a clear indication of my love affair / obsession with fashion. I actually find shopping a near-religious experience. My style changes daily by my mood and what event I’m attending.
What do you love about shopping at Fresh Collective?
The unique styles of clothing that are so one-of-a-kind. I love the different designers who are local and Canadian. You can have a true relationship with the people who make your clothes! I do!
How did you get into wedding planning?
It was an evolution of being in the hospitality industry. I went from hotels to restaurants to events and catering and fell in love (no pun intended) with weddings.
What is your favourite part about planning weddings at the AGO?
It’s just the most amazing experience to be able to host weddings surrounded by such famous and beautiful works of art.
We have a fair bit of creative license to work within the Gallery to produce exceptional events for our clients.
And we have amazing support services we work alongside with, including our in-house culinary team, banquet department, guest services, protection services, audio visual and so much more!
What do you have that you want to promote?
I have been involved in volunteering my event planning skills and experience for large scale events since the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. I was fortunate to also volunteer for the Pan Am Games and now I’m looking forward to my role in volunteering for the Invictus Games this September.
