Tell us about the Life Coach series! What’s your part in the project?
I play a Life Coach client who’s husband has sent her for guidance because he says she’s “blocked”. She is.
In your opinion, what makes Life Coach a special show that people are going to love?
It’s relatable. It’s funny. We all know or are the self help seekers. Wanting to improve ourselves but distracted by reality.
What’s a typical day like for you?
Depends on the day, and I appreciate that. Lately I’ll do a bit of work on the post production of our film, The Drawer Boy. Sometimes I have an audition. Sometimes I volunteer at my kids school. If I’m lucky I’ll meet a friend for coffee. Sometimes I do corporate coaching. The most consistent thing is hanging with my son. I like that each day is different.
What in your life is really important to you?
What others think of me. No, just kidding. I work against that. I know how quickly children grow so I’m trying to be as present with my growing kid as possible. I used to want to simply learn things about myself and improve me. Now I’m learning (from my partner) to have goals, even big goals, then set out to achieve them. Pretty simple concept but it’s a new reality for me.

What would you like to be remembered for?
Creating something (or a body of work) that moves people, that allows people to feel all the feels.

What role does fashion play in your life?
A very small one, I’m embarrassed to say. Bag lady chic. In the past, my style was dictated by what was passed down to me or what I found at Buy the Pound. Now I’m adjusting to having a post baby/post forty new shape, which is forcing me to pay attention to what I put on my body. I can’t just throw anything on anymore without looking like a hobo. Being comfortable is top priority for me in my everyday wear.

What do you love about shopping at Fresh Collective?
I love that it’s Canadian made. Great quality. Unique design. My partner has bought me two dresses from FC and they’re both very feminine, flattering and practical (pockets!)
