What in your life is really important to you?

My family is the most important but my commitment to self-care is also HUGE!
As a Mom of 4 with three little people under the age of 5, it’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day minutia of life with young kids, a couple of businesses, and managing our home and family.   The analogy I use for self-care is the airplane oxygen mask demo you see at the start of every flight.  Put that oxygen mask on yourself first so that you are able to help others around you.   I am a beast of a human without consistent exercise and self-care.  I know it and my family knows it.  Fitting in an exercise class, walk in the woods, or meditation is a daily practice so that I can keep my physical AND mental health in check to manage our big crazy lives!

What would you like to be remembered for?
When I’m 102 years old, looking back on my life from my little rocking chair I hope that I’m surrounded by my family and friends who know how fiercely I love them, how I taught them through my actions about respect, commitment, openness, community and that we are all gifted people, we just need to find our purpose.  I’d like to be an influencer who helped thousands of people design and live the lives that they dreamed were possible and I want people who cross my path to think, “that woman sure had a lot of fun doing what she loved doing and she never took herself too seriously”.

What role does fashion play in your life?

As a woman who wears “many hats” I use fashion to get me in to the headspace for the work ahead. Fashion totally drives my mood and energy so I dress for the task and emotion that I want.  If I feel fabulous and put together in an outfit, I have the confidence that I need to nail the task at hand.  I think that is crucial to my business success and it just keeps the feel-good factor front and centre in my life.

I always love to support local and Canadian designers and I love to pick up unique pieces that stand out!  I believe strongly in supporting small businesses and local artists.  We need to support one another to grow our businesses and our local economy.

What do you have that you want to promote?

I’m a branch director for Happy Healthy Women in Bolton and Caledon and we’re all about connecting women who are looking for information or expertise to achieve a healthier and happier life.  Whether you’re an expert or someone just looking for help in those areas.  We have over 100 brilliant and beautiful souls who are a part of our group and we’re looking for others to join our tribe.  I know we can create a ripple effect of women supporting women to achieve a better life.  http://www.meetup.com/Happy-Healthy-Women-CALEDON/

I’m also a network marketing professional who is looking for people who are looking for an income opportunity that can start them on the road to living the life they dream about.  I adore my team and we’re growing like crazy in Canada, US, Australia, UK, Taiwan and Poland.  If you or anyone you know in any of those countries are looking for an awesome opportunity with a fabulous group of people who have a tonne of fun with their business, give me a shout out.

Is there anything else we should know about you?

A decade ago I finally figured out that you can’t out-exercise a poor diet and over the period of a year I went from a size 14 to a size 2 by figuring out how to eat for my body and health.  In the last 5 years, I had 3 children in 3 years and have maintained my healthy lifestyle, settling at a size 4.  I work diligently to maintain my health and always choose clothes that accentuate my shape rather than hide it.  My husband always says “you work hard for that body and should be proud of it” so I think about loving my body when I dress.

Where can people find you on social media?
