Name: Cecilia Moorcroft
Occupation: Clutter Fucker
Age: I’m a Taurus, May 3rd, 1972!
Lifestyle: Spiritually Adventurous
What’s a typical day like for you?
As an entrepreneur I’m not sure any of my days are typical but they all start with meditation with my sweetie and end with “playing bees” with my sweetie (we are a middle aged couple with no children or pets so we have stuffed bees instead).
(For context: A pic of Cecilia and her partner with their bees!)
In between I spend most my working time running my online clutter clearing program called “Fuck Clutter” which means a lot of time on facebook, on coaching calls and making videos. My fun time is spent walking with friends, singing with choir!choir!choir! and cooking yummy food.
What in your life is really important to you?
Meditation, my partner, my Fuck Clutter clients, not being perfect, always growing and connecting. Oh also singing with choir!choir!choir! and FUN!
What would you like to be remembered for?
My compassion, my humour, my support and the lasting change I’ve helped to create in people’s lives. I also feel like I haven’t yet done the thing I’ll be remembered for.
What role does fashion play in your life?
Fashion plays an emerging role. I’ve been shy about fashion in the past but I’m starting to realize that I can have my own “look” that makes me feel comfortable and confident.
What do you love about shopping at Fresh Collective?
I love that the designers are local. I had a beloved skirt from Fresh Collective rip and I contacted the designer and she fixed it for me. It ended up getting several variations of the same skirt because I loved it so much.
How did you get involved with clutter coaching?
I used to work at a new age bookstore called Wonderworks where I read a book called Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston. It inspired me to clear my own clutter and then to study Feng Shui and help others. I’ve been helping people clear clutter for 14 years which is amazing to me.
What do you hope to accomplish with the creatives and entrepreneurs that you have been helping de-clutter?
I love working with creatives and entrepreneurs on clearing their clutter because when they fully engage the process things begin to move dramatically. I’ve had writers get book deals, I’ve had musicians quit their day jobs to tour full time.
Clutter clearing is about so much more than just clearing your physical space especially if you work for yourself. You can use your clutter clearing process as a catalyst for change in your life. It’s a lot more fun than just throwing stuff out. It’s MAGIC!
What do you have that you want to promote?
I run an online program called Fuck Clutter! It’s still in the beta stages but we’ve just started a three month Fuck Clutter Club and it’s going really well. YAY!
